I know! That's what I was hoping for when they first announced it, and I was disappointed as well.

Nope. It's a multiplayer extraction shooter with a season-based model. Think Tarkov but worse somehow. 
no game, only microtransactions!
Literally zero connection to the original games, other than the name.
I was really hoping that would happen with Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield, but I think Skyrim was more an exception than a rule. I genuinely don't think we're likely to see that level of involvement from a modding community again.
