Those look like common house geckos, I don't think that species hurts anything people care about and they catch bugs anyway.

Yep but they lay eggs in most unusual places, learned it the hard way by trying to remove a bulb from its holder and two tiny egg landing on my face
That doesn't sound unusual, it's probably the heat they wanted
It's not that crazy, geckos are well known to be super into egg based bukkake.
