The sheer number of options is the best thing about Pathfinder. It's also the worst. (europe.pub)

A meme screenshot from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Sabrina is surrounded by people handing her several plates of pancakes, far too many for one person to reasonably eat. Sabrina is labeled, "me making a PF2E character." Each plate of pancakes is labeled one of the following: "spells," "backgrounds," "feats," "subclasses," "class archetypes," and "other archetypes."

I'd say it's not terrible if you have some experience with TTRPGs and use Pathbuilder (a free character-building site/app). That said, I obsessively research and follow guides while making my characters, so I might not be the best source on vibes-based character creation.
