Just before I get into the post itself, I'd just like to say a few things. As I'm sure you are aware, this is my first post in a long time, across both my communities. I can only offer an apology for my sudden "disappearance". In hindsight, I should have probably let people know this beforehand. For a little while now I have found myself lacking in motivation. Unfortunately this and personal reasons has led me to taking an extended break from posting (my moderation duties have continued as usual). I don't want this to turn into a boring rant or sob story, so long story short, I took a long break and I haven't necessarily yet returned from this break. At the moment, I am probably just going to post whenever I feel inspired to do so or I find something I feel people will genuinely be interested in. This isn't permanent. My usual moderation goes unchanged. I don't intend to let my communities die. I also have my next long-awaited discog review in the works (it's a big one).
With that out of the way, on with the post. Recently started my journey through the Whiplash discography. Going in I had no idea what to expect: I went in totally blind, having heard only one track posted a while ago by @flabbergast@lemmy.world. The first album completely blew my socks across the room, out the window and a few miles on. Blazing fast, aggressive, the stuff of wet dreams. /s (or not). The pace is insane start to finish. I wish there was more like it out there. Ridiculously fast speed/thrash with that undeniable old-school charm and sub-par production. I love it! Reminds me of Kill 'Em All, if it was actually fast and aggressive (and was on copious amounts of steroids - maybe a little speed XD). Here's a particularly nuts track for you all to enjoy (before I moon-walk back into the void, anyway). I guess you will just have to wait for my discog review ;) . Enjoy this banger ๐ค!
Killer sound from those axes. Lookin forward to the big discography review!
