Replacement for r/steamdeck_linux.
As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:
[Flair] My post title
The following is a list of suggested flairs:
[Discussion] - General discussion.
[Help] - A request for help or support.
[News] - News about the deck.
[PSA] - Sharing important information.
[Game] - News / info about a game on the deck.
[Update] - An update to a previous post.
[Meta] - Discussion about this community.
Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:
- Follow the rules of Sopuli
- Posts must be related to the Steam Deck in an obvious way.
- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.
- This is a place of civil discussion, no trolling.

So you're going to be sending it in for RMA then?
Yes.
Right now I'm documenting the fault and status of the device. I have heard that Asus sometimes "add" extra damage to the device so that they can claim it's not covered under the warranty.
I would seriously reconsider it if I were you. If you haven't seen the Gamers Nexus reporting on this, you should. They will take the devices, claim a bunch of damage that has nothing to do with what you sent it in for, claim that it needs a bunch of repairs that it doesn't, then hold it for ransom until you pay it.
Just giving you an update. I gave it for repair and it got accepted for warranty. I kept my Ally like a baby so they couldn't find any physical fault with it. They changed the motherboard for free and now the SD card reader is working again. However, I am not sure if the problem will recur again.
