I do not come from the US, but in somewhat lefty or centrist spaces I can't see this style.

Not many people do it, maybe most want to talk more than be listened to, but I promise, the vote score it gets is better. That doesn't apply to influencers and outlets, which are personality driven and can gain an aura of authority, just comment-waterfalls like this one.
