Not entirely accurate. He died to the tutorial fight first. The guy who is supposedly one of the best players in the world.
Generally, you really have to try to die in a tutorial. Impressive.
Some extra context for those who have not played: PoE2 does not hold your hand. When I was learning the game that fight killed me too. But I wasn't claiming to be one of the best players, (I'd still describe myself as bad) and that same fight can't even hit me now.
It’s just proof he bought the account in initial beta release, and I still maintain he should be banned for it. Anyone who has played through to endgame maps should be capable of beating that boss deathless, he’s just a god awful gamer. Total trash. Garbage. Also Nazi scum.
Interesting. Might have to try it... Hopefully Elmo doesn't sully the place too much.
You won’t see Elmo unless you watch his streams
Yeah the tutorial fight isn't a "you should win easy-peasy" like some games. But it's also not like Genichiro in Sekiro where you're supposed to lose. I wonder if GGG published a breakdown of deaths to the boss. I think I cleared him four times on four characters and never died to him, but I also play a lot of this kind of game. (Unlike Musk, who is a fraud)
I would generally agree but PoE is brutal and early game involves dying a lot. The fact that he thought dying was a problem is a WAY bigger tell that he's never played the game. Dying POE is like dying in a souls game, it shouldn't phase you in the least.
The way I heard it (I didn't watch the stream) was that he logged in and toasted like three hardcore characters (you know, because he's so hardcore) then rolled up something new, died to the tutorial, and left.
Dying is in fact a problem when all your characters are hardcore characters. That's why the only people who play hardcore are masochists and whoever Elon has on the payroll to be a masochist for him.
I genuinely wonder if he understands that hardcore ssf is permadeath.
It sure as shit phases me when I die to bullshit and lose 300,000 souls!
Yeah I've probably dropped a few million blood echos by this point. I have straight up stopped playing for days after those kinds of losses. But, the brutality is why I'm playing.
That's what you get for walking around with 300,000 souls unspent! (meant as a joke, because in text you might read this with actual hostility lol)
Partially a joke partially because that's what it takes to level up 10 hours in.
Have you tried getting gud?
Even the guddest player sometimes dies to the hardest enemy: gravity.
I am gud, just stupid, I've no hit half the bosses in Elden Ring problem is I'm stupid.
You're also generally not being insulted by randos for being a piece of shit.
Oh dude, I instigate. I'm there for it. Death threats are like butter on a perfect fluffy loaf of bread right out of the oven.
Maybe he needed a tutorial explaining how to die b/c he is just so fucking awesome?
