Thats absolutley true, but I live in an apartment complex that wont even fix the elevators, there's no way in hell I'd ever be able to charge at home and for that reason... I can never have an EV.

You can charge it at charge points surely?

I mean you don’t refuel your car at home, do you?

Do you charge your phone in a grocery store? I mean, if fuel was readily available through a pipe straight in your house, you wouldn't go to pump, would you?

Electricity is already available to 99.99% of homes, and 100% of homes considering switching to EV. Fuel, I don't think it is available to any home at all.

Also, it takes 30 mins at least to fully charge an EV (while degrading the battery a lil more than average), it takes 5 minutes tops to refuel an ICE car.

yeah but that's not really a solid comparison, brotein shake. If u already drive to a station for fuel then that doesn't change if it's ev or gas. And ev charging times are pretty quick now. Go inside, take a piss, drink a coffee and u are good to go. If u are that impatient than maybe its time to lay off tiktok for a bit.

Refuelling takes 5 to 10 min. Charging takes 15 to 120 min. Surely you see the difference in practicality. Home charging is definitely a benefit.

Of course it’s a benefit. All I’m saying is that least where I live plenty of people drive the car to a supermarket and do their weekly shop while the car charges (or similar, there’s charging a everywhere in car parks near retail).

Landlords will also realize EVs are better, and when tenants start moving out for places with chargers, things will change.

when tenants start moving out for places with chargers, things will change.

You think keeping tenants away from phone lines or internet would be a good idea? 🍿
