Children starved before Elon bruh.
no kidding, rich assholes who allowed the poor to die while hoarding resources have always existed? gosh golly gee willickers, I wouldn't have known! Thanks for telling us, pal.
I don't think millionaires in USA are the reason why kids in Africa are starving
Thing is we're talking about trillionaires now, not millionaires. It might feel like they're pretty close right? Since it's million -> billion -> trillion it means that if you have a million dollars you're about 1/3 of the way to being a trillionaire right?
No, you'd be 0.0001% of the way there.
Just to reframe it:
1 Trillion = 1,000,000 Million. 1 Million Million. 1 Million².
If you're a millionaire, why haven't you just done it a million more times?
A trillionaire sees a millionaire in the same way a millionaire sees someone with a net worth of... 1$
Then I have some terrible news for you.... Millionaires in the USA and elsewhere are pretty much exactly why kids in Africa are starving (to death, lest the implied goes unnoticed.)
Should have stopped there.
you might want to look up "colonization", the British, Spanish, Portuguese, etc colonized much of Africa, drained it of resources, then that same wealth made its way to the US which was also a British colony after they killed and stole the land from the natives. Colonizers who then min maxed it by going all in on slavery, then when the motherland was asking for too much in taxes from their profits they broke away. The US was built with blood and money.
'Cause free labor's the cornerstone of US economics, 'cause slavery was abolished. Unless you are in prison. You think I am bullshittin then read the 13th Amendment. Involuntary servitude and slavery it prohibits, that's why they givin' drug offenders time in double digits.
that's fine, I forgive you for being wrong.
You would be wrong.
Millionaires, no, but billionaires, yeah probably.
Yeah, children starved in feudal systems and in despotic empires... See the pattern?
Yeah they were starving. But now we have a fat succulent trillionaire that can feed them.
Then when there's nothing left of him we can use his money to buy more food for them.
