I'm not going to criticize her for what her grandparents did either, but the accident of birth is why she is where she is. Her father made a sizable investment (hundreds of thousands of dollars) in the record label she signed with, and the family moved down to Nashville to start her career.

Not something I could have done for my kids, and there is apparently no evidence to substantiate the rumor that her father bought tens of thousands of copies of her first record to make it a success.
