All in all as a scientist, I feel just as dumb as smart depending on the situation. But if the term intellectuals incorporates the use of basic logic, then ya, me and the homies are about to be persecuted for sures!

    I'm currently reading the book Nexus by Yuval Noah Harari (the same dude that wrote Sapiens). It's got an interesting chapter about how outgroups have been defined in fascist societies. Things like being a scientist, or just being thought of as smart, can easily be enough to get you labeled as an "other" and persecuted.

    I pretty much assume everyone on Lemmy is fucked.
