Agreed. Besides perceiving someone with a history of trauma as an older person (although it's irrelevant with androids), I dig the work they did with his unique outfit. I don't know why they did it much weirder for western markets, but I do appreciate it. Bro-Nier looks like a generic normie with his friends, papa Nier looks on par with his homies, and now I wonder if I can call the jap version an original, or rather an afterthought after thinking about them both.
