Sadly humans are not just the answer, it propagates the abuse. Your comment reminded me of this report on The Verge: The Trauma Floor

    Surely you understand the difference between moderating the entirety of a free global public social media site versus vetting the fucking advertisements companies are paying you to host. There's absolutely no comparison between the two and there's no excuse for ads like that to be hosted on a major corporations website.

    I was reminded of that, but then realized that reviewing ads is not the same as raw content moderation. It’ll still have some shitty moments, but it’s not the same as being forced to watch snuff videos.
