It seems that they are SUPER ban heavy these days. I guess they won't be happy until literally every long time Reddit user has been banned.
While it has it's flaws, we're much better off on the Fediverse anyway, contributing to a free and open ecosystem.
they overbanned im guessing which eliminated accounts, multiple accounts. so people are too paranoid to login and onl lurk now.
They are also ip banning now, so if they catch your old IP or your VPN you'll get banned automatically.
yes, i think thats what drove alot of users away, and became lurkers, now they are trying to "claw" back some users so they can mine them more for Ai scraping, while not easing thier filters(yet).
the purges include multi-account bans.
apparently they banned too much last year, as i suspected before. which leads to less user=less AI scraping the site. and what is most encountered on reddit is mostly AI slop
