It's a distraction comment, pay no mind.

It actually isn’t. Resources were wasted conveying an important message which could be typed on a keyboard.

This could easily be a template or photoshop. Move along.

“Move along?” What are you, a cop?

What, you got a problem with a photographer who’s calling you out for adding slop to Lemmy? You’re putting words in my mouth saying I “made a distraction comment?”

    Buddy, no, this ain’t it.

Slop content definitely kills movements because people engaging with it think they're doing a resistance and don't do anything further. No learning, no talking, just updoot the eye-grabbing yellow text and feel like a hero.

Reddit is bursting to the seams with this garbage

Ah yes, the YouTube liberal has a lot to say about what kills progressive movements. As if he's ever read a book about the topic (or any topic that isnt Harry Potter).

Yeah, I could learn a lot from you about it. You're the pro, or you would be if you weren't estranged from your guys. I really can't believe they're making you do this all alone.

But it looks like I'm all caught up with your love letters for the day 🙂 gonna go post some more, hope to see you soon ❤️

The backlash creates extra work for OC posters as well, though... That itself creates a chilling effect. You either have to overthink your post to avoid getting accused or you decide it's easier to just not post at all.
