It seems awfully quiet in here and I just joined the community, so I’ll be the change I want to see in the world.

Title says it all, what’s your favorite mtb trail of all time? Could be something you ride in your hometown or something you’ve only ever ridden once.

Mine is Resurrection Pass trail on the Kenai peninsula in Alaska. Super beautiful area, and I’ve had a bunch of amazing days and overnights with friends there.

Does Resurrection Pass ever become less buggy in August and September? Amazing area but I think I hit the trail at peak mosquito season (June?) and it was so heavy for bugs that its almost hard to describe. Like a constant swarm of clouds of mosquitoes. Probably the #2 worst place I've ever been for mosquito levels.

Yeah there are some times of year where the bugs are brutal out there, early June especially but it depends on spring timing. Not sure if you’re from AK or a visitor but after a while of living there you kinda just start to accept mosquitoes as a fact of life like death and taxes. I recently moved away from AK am blown away by the lack of mosquitoes outdoors everywhere. Hopefully I’ll be able to finally give my body a break from the annual summer deet baths
