If you want a private desktop OS you either use a debloated Windows which can break, or Linux but it's not always easy to use, but I've never heard of anyone use a de-googled Chrome OS, smth like Graphene OS but for desktops. I've actually never used Chrome OS but to my knowledge it's open-source, easy to use and can already run Android apps making it a strong option

ChromeOS and Android have a lot in common.

Going to GOS full time is my plan if my old T470 Thinkpad dies. It does pass-through charging when connected to my Anker hub. My hub has 2 USB 3, monitor, SD, microSD, and ethernet ports.

Keep battery optimization on so the battery stays at 80% and lower.

All I need is a wall monitor mount, a monitor and cable (if it doesn't come with said cable). I used to use a Samsung tablet as my main "computer" so I still have the Logitech BT keyboard and trackball.
