An investigation by Gamers Nexus found LG smart TVs sweep local networks to map phones and nearby devices. Tests also showed the sets can capture microphone audio with the screen off — they then upload data once reconnected to the internet.

If I may clarify / simplify on the answers:

Contrary to the name, Pi Hole will run on most devices including a Raspberry Pi.
With PI's current prices I'd not advise on the purchase of a new one, but rather reuse / buy a second hand server / laptop / anything that can run Pi Hole Min Required Specs for Pi Hole
After setting up Pi Hole you will need to change your current router's DNS source to be the device that is running Pi Hole.
