I know Jesus is brown due to being Middle Eastern, but I wouldn't call him black.

It's not that most people who celebrate Jesus as Black actually believe that Jesus, the real man who existed 2,000 years ago, was Black. Some do, but not the majority.

The point is that Jesus is divine and transcends race, and that Black people have the right to worship their God as Black, the same way white people have Europeanized Jesus over the centuries.

Jesus the man may have been a white middle easterner, but Jesus their God is the same race as they.
