What is the context behind Black Jesus? (lemmygrad.ml)

I heard about it from places, but I would like context.

I know Jesus is brown due to being Middle Eastern, but I wouldn't call him black.

If you go to some old churches and cathedrals in europe and you'll see Jesus was depicted very much like he was a man born in Nazareth.
