Of course they can be bent. Also how fucking slow are they working. We measure this in seconds, not minutes. The tank in the engine is limited and ideally you try to run multiple hoses at once. And sneakers and shorts? Firefighters in the US are weird.

    Could be a volunteer brigade. I've never seen anything like this, firefighters here are kitted the fuck out

    They have the NYC FD emblem, which is s full-service FD

    They should get their overwidth truck privileges revoked, it kills good urbanism when they can't reach a one-way or bike-only street. Bike paths are actually a common way for emergency services in non-American cities to bypass traffic jams, a well-known problem in NYC. Well, the mandated and enforced Rettungsgasse too, but standalone bike paths are wide enough for police, ambulaces and fire trucks to reach car-free spaces.
