It ... was not the same vibe. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 3 child comments replies: [–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago (2 children) No, not at all. I didn't really enjoy Watership Down, it's in my DNF pile but I plan to get back to it. This is my first time reading Redwall. As a youngin I read Matthias, one of the other books in the series, but I can't say that I remember it! My kids will get Redwall once I'm done. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] elephantium@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 child) I really enjoyed the Redwall series as a kid/teen. I wish I could have discovered them a year or two earlier. As it is, I remember losing interest as I got into my late teens. I'm a little afraid to start re-reading, lol - not sure if the stories would be fun to read again as an adult. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago I'm enjoying it. It's definitely suitable for children, though. Not really a challenge. permalink fedilink source parent
