Yeah, I saw a few episodes of Clarkson's Farm (like him or not, he is a brilliant storyteller) when he tested out some automated farm machines, and the command center he hsd looked quite cool.

Imagine running an orchard you put sensors in the soil by each tree, you get info about rhe moisture, oxygen content, and temp if the soil and can monitor each tree automatically, and make sure they all have what they need. I don't know if you can put a static detector and monitor the live mineral content of the soil, but that would be bloody brilliant.
