Yes, the two only alternatives, German occupation, and Russian occupation. Or maybe the lesser evil is still evil.

Poor Stalin, he had no choice but to do a secret deal with the Nazis to split up eastern Europe, and then he had to follow up with as much of it has possible after the Germans backstabbed him /s
