Bear with me, cause it’s attached to a game that’s not very good, but Unlimited Saga.
This is Masashi Hamauzu at his best. In particular, the highlights are “Time-Space Travels,” “Enigmatic Scheme,” and “Battle Theme I.”
He’s just got a really lush chord progression and thoughtful instrumentation. If you want to hear more of his modern day work, check out his pieces “Costiera Amalfitana” and “Giant,” those two are amazing as well.
