A Futurism article about "AI bros are having a meltdown because the Associated Press stylebook clarifies that AIs don’t have feelings" featured this guy's tweets in the first sentence. Turns out he was talking about dogs instead of AI.
For some reason I can't stop laughing about this.
I think it's fair for the article to target this reaction from the pro AI tweeters. People anthropomorphise things and that is okay, sometimes normal even. But something like a journalistic guideline is supposed to have a higher bar for using this kind of language especially considering how influential AI and AI related industries are in terms of propaganda and warping the economy.
