I get what you're saying with the tehnicality, but on this issue I'm gonna have to push back (humour or not). If someone burns down a forest, shooting every animal that moves as they do - bears, deer, rabbit - no one will agree with their statement "I was hunting deer". Because that does not encapsulate their actions. They are either insane for doing so much more in their effort to hunt deer or they are lying. Either option makes me disagree with the original premise of hunting deer.
