Shoplifting shouldn't be a crime at all.

Shoplifting creates jobs (corporate will need to hire more workers to help spot shoplifters)

Shoplifting helps the poorest among us lead a better quality of life

And shoplifting cuts down on the massive profits our corporate overlords make.

All of these are legitimately good things. Go out there and shoplift people. Those people have an entire store full of things you don't have. They are not going to miss it if you take some for yourself.
