No, you’re obsessed with Trump because you can’t square him. Aren’t the systems of civility and institutionalism supposed to stop that kind of guy? Total freak out, he’s mango Mussolini, he’s a Cheeto in the dang White House!!! In reality, he’s there because the business interests in this country like his meaningless word drivel spew which seems to make line go up for some reason.

    All you've admitted is that the GOP has abandoned loyalty to the Constitution and substituted it with loyalty to Dear Leader. All those institutions were supposed to be interested in preserving their own role in government, and instead they've abdicated their responsibilities and ceded their power to the fascist kid rapist.

    How can I get you to understand this is all within the framework of American capitalism and American “””democracy?””” There will still be elections in 4 years, and liberals will eat it up and maybe even fail to get a failson dipshit like Newsome elected. By that point the requisite decisions have already been made, without you.

    If Newsom is nominated, and I very much hope he is not, it will be because he won a fair primary, just like every nominee before him, with maybe the exception of Harris, who was the de facto nominee because of the circumstances. (Biden really should have withdrawn in 2023.)
