That might have been a cocktail depending on what you had done, or they didn't give you oxygen during recovery while your respiration was still depressed

    I was given oxygen during the procedure as well as in recovery, but to your other point they could have given me something else too when I was under.

    Probably some paralyzing agent, to stop you from twitching and moving while they worked. And probably a tiny miscalculation, or maybe even intentionally to avoid you doing something stupid before your rational brain was done rebooting.
