What's a cheap phone that isint trash or unsupported, but can run a custom os with ease? (lemmy.zip)

Ive wanted to try custom phone os's but im not sure where to start, my phones are not supported from the few ive gathered over time also most of them are "trash" as some may say. So im wondering what phone to get and where from, also what mobile os do your prefer over other ones?

does this vary on multiple factors?

Hmmm idk. I guess anything with lack of support and updates can leave it vulnerable. Bit graphene is already miles ahead of Google on security. 🤷‍♀️
