Btw, avoid the trot brainrot (maybe a braintrot?) called massline.org. I had to use it for some definition checking because prolewiki.org is down, and had a brain aneurysm when I read a passage where they call PRC after Mao a capitalist imperialist power.

Edit: I read further and saw they claim that the USSR became "social imperialist" (?!) with Khrushchev and co. They also claim Trotsky tried to prevent Stalinist dictatorship, like marxists.org did. Ytf does good-looking leftist websites have to be ultras?

The use of the phrase massline, the 'theory' of Soviet 'social Imperialism' and the condemnation of post-mao China are all Maoist things, not trot things.

The Marxist-Leninist-Maoist position on AES sucks, and is undialectical, but I'll give them more credit than the trots for actually holding and governing territory right now. Which is more than any trot movement has ever done.

This is a consequence I think of the usage of the word 'state', where people cannot see past the state-conflict label which is usually desrcibed as imperialism (because its capitalists using the state to extract commodities from other states). People are misinformed and under educated.

The challenge with 'socialism in one country' as a descriptive is that to me it feels like a myopic lens if used to then describe the international class conflict. As state conflicts throughout history (ignoring things like peasant republic, theocracy, and so on) are usually the learned exploitation of capitalist colonialism, nationalism or imperialism. As uneducated people project the other class/state-conflicts with that 'understanding' they then mischaracter the PRC as "state capitalism" or the USSR as "socialist imperialism".
