Shining a light on reality doesn't make us divided, denying reality does. We can acknowledge our problems and still be a team, a more honest one.

I know but a lot of this both sides rhetoric just reduces voter turnout out and the republicans win.

The other side sees it as lying. We need to build bridges imo.

one side believes discrimination is completely unacceptable and the other belives it in necessary, there won't be any bridges between those sides anytime soon

The sides here are leftists on one side and dems/rebuplicans on the other, right? I was writing out a comment as if that's not what you meant before I realized I probly misinterpreted your comment

thinking about my argument more made me realize that actually all sides love discrimination, it's just that sone like to claim it isn't discrimination.

(I was initially thinking of democrats/left vs republicans because one side is openly racist and the other claims to opposes it)

Well, the actual left (as opposed to "democrats/'left'") wants to do away with the prison-industrial complex, borders, means-testing, etc, and ofc capitalism itself- all of which are just dressed up systemic discrimination. I don't think it's fair to say that leftists love discrimination. Some leftists (namely "tankies") believe in what you might consider discrimination as a means to an end, but I don't think that means they love discrimination itself
