The killer got 15 months in jail. Impossible to imagine somebody would get 15 months of jail for throwing a chair at a judge. So, almost surely not.

If that affects it at all, it decreases the punishment the father will get. If the ruling had immediately been 15 months, the throwing would have been much less justified and whatever punishment he gets would be therefore harsher.
