It's realistic. Some day, when you feel like it, try setting to hard mode and switch on collapsing caves and blocks falling sideways, one life only. It's hilarious how often and quickly you die if you don't focus. There's a mod for blood trails, that helps for hunting. I am currently in the middle of a hard winter, it's super tough! But have some nice shader settings, so looks cool while suffering haha
