Under border agreements, China and India can't use guns near their frontier, so they fight with rocks, clubs, rods, and fists.
I think if you've both got billions of lives at risk you probably want to do stuff like this, an all out war between Indian and China would be brutal - it might even get to WW2 levels of death (80 million or so).
