Trump has promised to endorse Jake Paul if the controversial YouTuber-turned-boxer ever runs for office.

Trump made the remarks yesterday during a speech at a packaging facility in Kentucky, after being joined on stage by the influencer.

The president’s declaration of support followed a brief speech by Paul, who later posted a video of the pair hitting Trump’s now infamous YMCA dance.

Two of the dumbest criminals in modern history

[–] FatVegan@leminal.space 5 points 6 days ago

If they would've grown up in a sane county, no one would know who the broke rapist who sits in jail and the egg farmer's helping hand was.

[–] rosco385@lemmy.wtf 10 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Is that film-a-dead-guy Paul, or fake-boxer Paul?

[–] generic_computers@lemmy.zip 2 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Those are different people? /s

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 9 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Trump should demonstrate his support for by getting his face bashed in by a black boxer.

[–] IchNichtenLichten@lemmy.wtf 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I'm neither black, nor a boxer but I'm available.

[–] MrVilliam@sh.itjust.works 2 points 6 days ago

If a group of people states that they don't condone violence and don't accept responsibility for this, but offers to crowdfund legal defense for this, is that criminal?

I'm just asking questions.

[–] 100_kg_90_de_belin@feddit.it 4 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

What can Jake Paul's credibility among far-right people be after a Black person broke his face? How could Paul protect MAGA women and children from the horde of non-whites if he couldn't even defend himself?

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

I wouldn’t nominate Jack Paul to be a gong farmer… actually I take that back. That’s exactly what he should be doing.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 0 points 6 days ago

Im kinda conflicted. I really hate his policies but im kinda impressed he can be so loud and proud at his age and retain his base. I notice a lot of his base are now up for doing those things to. So its no longer being shamed the way it used to.

[–] FiniteBanjo@feddit.online 102 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I really thought Jake Paul would dissapear from public perception after the suicide forest incident but instead its always getting fucking worse with that guy. Gonna piss on his grave.

[–] HazardousBanjo@lemmy.world 61 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Jake and Logan Paul are the archetypical rich kids who grew to be narcissistic and functionally sociopathic.

Those two assholes would never shy away from the spotlight. And the dumbfuck iPad kids who grew up idolizing them remain as their loyal incel fanbase to this day.

Also, not that it matters because they're basically the same person, but that was Logan Paul who did the Suicide Forrest video.

[–] meco03211@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Which one got their jaw broken?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 6 days ago

Bust the other guy's jaw, so we don't have to ask that question.

[–] lemmyng@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)
[–] Hideakikarate@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 week ago

At :20 you can see the fear in is eyes as he's about to just eat the right hook. Glorious shot.

[–] inari@piefed.zip 34 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The suicide forest one is Logan Paul. Jake Paul is the one who got his jaw smashed

[–] nova_ad_vitum@lemmy.ca 53 points 1 week ago (5 children)

I literally refuse to learn the difference between them

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 6 days ago

I'm sorry I even know who they are.

[–] Mastengwe@sh.itjust.works 32 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Reality has become a fucking cartoon.

[–] MerryJaneDoe@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

It always was. But thanks to information technology, everyone now has a front row set to the clown show.

[–] mthomson@forum.macaque.social 31 points 1 week ago

Every time I think America has hit rock bottom, Trump pulls out the jackhammer and tries to dig deeper.

[–] blitzen@lemmy.ca 27 points 1 week ago (5 children)

Surly a Trump endorsement means political death nearly everywhere, no?

[–] Beero@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago

Sir, I hate to disappoint, but you've actually crossed into the timeline where politicians in the next decade will actually compete at how many babies they can eat at one sitting. The mask is off....

[–] MerryJaneDoe@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (1 children)

Maybe you haven't checked the polls lately.

The president had an 83% approval among Republicans, a 3% approval among Democrats and a 28% approval among independent voters, as well as a 48% approval among men and 28% approval among women. The survey also found that 53% of voters oppose military action in Iran, 40% support it and 7% are undecided.

https://kfanplus.iheart.com/content/2026-03-13-trumps-approval-rating-compared-to-2028-democratic-frontrunners-revealed/

83% approval from his base. Crazy. The rich boomers LOVE war.

[–] blitzen@lemmy.ca 1 points 6 days ago

Another poster made a great point that, however well Trump does and continues to do in polls of his base, that support isn't necessarily transferrable to other candidates. And indeed, often it's counter intuitively counter productive.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 6 days ago

That's the trend. An endorsement might help in the Primary, but it's death in the General.

After the Midterm bloodbath, MAGA candidates will understand that Trump is a liability, and will not be seeking Trump's endorsement. We might even see anti-MAGA Republican campaigns.

[–] HocEnimVeni@lemmy.world 25 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Buddy I can tell you haven't been to the south recently

[–] blitzen@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 week ago

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I seem to see more of these types of stories than the opposite.

Too many Trump aligned candidates seem to win, but I seem to see candidates lose when Trump vocally endorses them. To wit, Hershall Walker.

About 1/3rd of the US is still vehemently supporting Trump.

Don't underestimate how massive (nor incredibly fucking stupid) the cult is.

[–] moonshadow@slrpnk.net 1 points 6 days ago

GWB's "miss me yet?" merch but with the nuge

[–] clif@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago

I was positive this was going to be the onion.

... I really wish this was the onion.

[–] robocall@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago (5 children)

What policies do these two people agree on?

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 6 days ago

Jake Paul doesn't have any policies.

[–] TheFogan@programming.dev 27 points 1 week ago

Keep crypto scams going! Also trump doesn't know policy anyway, he just signs what his handlers ask him to.

[–] Godort@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 week ago

If you're rich, you should be immune from consequences of any kind

[–] MajinBlayze@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago (2 children)

What makes you think that that's relevant? Neither of them run on policy
