Depends how far back in history. I would worry about unintentionally making things worse or erasing myself from existence, Back-to-the-Future style. I'd probably go with something low stakes like "don't spill milk on the floor last week".

Columbus is a good one. If you're into Native American history I recently read this book found it really interesting
I've always wondered what it would look like if someone could travel back in time like 200 years before the discovery of the Americas and share a bunch of technology with native Americans, like guns and whatnot, and then warn them to never trust the people coming across the ocean in a few hundred years.
I don't want to pretend I can foresee the unforeseeable consequences of altering the past, even slightly, so I wouldn't change a thing.
