I had no idea he was a comedian. All I've ever known him as was a scumbag.

Damn, I was about to post that article! But regardless, there is so much proof regarding Brand's misdeeds which may contributed to his "rebranding" from a liberal revolutionary hippie to a conservative Christian.
There was a rebrand? I don't follow anything he does, so I didn't even notice.
In the 2000s and 2010s Brand was seen as a progressive who rallied against the 1 % with some hippie spirituality thing sprinkled in. He started his own YouTube channel. Then around 2020 he was slowly incorporating things like The Great Reset, rallying against vaccine mandates and other right-wing talking points. He started to appear with Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro and the like. The rebranding reached a culmination in April 2024, when he was baptised.
Imagine me, knowing him from saying things like "I don't vote because I'm an anarchist and I don't want to even participate in the system" to recently learning that he is now MAGA style right wing

I’m assuming you’re referencing to these earlier accusations. Accusations -> Charges-> Prosecution -> Verdict is the usual process.
As an aside I’ve actually been rewatching a lot of panel shows and he’s consistently my least favourite participant.
