I read Palpatine as Palestine at first and was confused

[–] mech@feddit.org 12 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Somehow, Palestine returned.

[–] Apocalypteroid@anarchist.nexus 7 points 1 month ago

Free Palpatine!

His power to somehow return is quite impressive and not something to be trifled with.

Bro it's just clones. Clones all the way down. Massive quantities of galactically illegal, horrifically unethical bootleg clones. Clones to live again. Clones to proxy leadership positions. Clones to gather collective power in the dark side of the force. We could all do clones, we're just not all assholes like that. (*Clones were a metaphor for sycophants, wage slaves & trafficked slaves. I realized afterwards it's a stretch.)

(clones were a nod to the US Military altering the school system and creating media like Rambo, to mass manufacture soldiers)

As a fundamentalist Jedi, Palpatine has done more to further our faith than any other so-called supporters:

He exposed the Jedi kiddie molestation ring on Coruscant, and wiped out the disgusting perpetrators masquerading as true Jedi.

Killed or exiled Jedi-in-name-only, or JINO molesters like Yoda, Mace Windu, and Kenobi so they'll never bother our kids again!

Fallen heroes of the Thin Red Line like Maul, Dooku, and that valiant General Grievous died so the Empire could be rid of these Menaces.

Palpatine's appointment to the Galactic Supreme Court have made abominations like Force Ghosts unconstitutional to enabling sprits to have their final rest instead of being dragged along forever by so-called Chosen Ones.

He's making the Empire stronger than the Republic ever was by increasing defense spending on Death Stars and Star Destroyers instead of subsidizing violent criminal immigrants like Wookies, Sand People, and Jawas.

He may have some Sith-like quirks like shooting lightning from his fingers and red light sabers, but he holds inspiring Galactic Prayer Rallies on the Imperial Plaza!

This is beautiful!

I mean yeah, but just imagine how terrible things could have been under Mon Mothma. And don't forget how terrible Chamcelor Valorum was. I heard his son made money off a trade embargo.

You have to admit, palpetine really did something about those rapist alien criminals, and funded military spending. It feels like he's on the side of humans. So what if he is a little evil, he gets results.

Speaking as a galactic bounty hunter, he's been good for business. And speaking as a native transplant to the outer rim, it's nice seeing his administration get rid of the undesirables like Sand People, Jawas, and Wookies.

the shocktroopers are going around Coruscant just rounding all the nonhumans up

but eh I guess its fine. I mean look at Admiral Thrawn! Hes a nonhuman

[–] redhorsejacket@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

He's One of the Good Ones ™️

[–] big_slap@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

because the attack on his life, led by rogue Jedi masters and knights, left him weak and deformed. he was wrongfully accused of being the sith they have been searching for.

don't really see how the things you've brought up have anything to do with being a sith, he's just an enjoyer of odd things. how dare you shame him smh smh

I have the same level of intelligence as Jar Jar Binks and have vulnerable masculinity.

[–] vapordays@leminal.space 5 points 1 month ago

I have economic anxiety and he seems to be against the status quo. I think he will take on the jedi deep state

  1. The man is a history buff!
  2. Count Dooku, while perhaps taking things too far, did point out legitimate issues with the Republic. Palpatine is on record as loving Democracy and his new Empire has brought peace and prosperity.
  3. The children are our future. A man simply cares about children. You're making accusations without any proof.
  4. Oh you mean Darth Plageuis the WISE? Why would you not consult with smart people, that's just good politics.
[–] IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf 2 points 1 month ago

if hes a history buff, why does he not have jedi artifacts?

[–] IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf 3 points 1 month ago
[–] Strider@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Still better than the extremist jedi!
