The EU will extend temporary protection for Ukrainians fleeing Russia’s war until March 2028, while excluding newly arriving Ukrainian men of military age from the scheme.

Under the European Commission’s proposal, temporary protection would no longer be granted to newly arriving individuals who are not permitted to leave Ukraine because of military obligations under Ukrainian law.

Oh come on...

Chat control, pesticides and now this

EU is getting worse and worse - and I'm a fucking proponent of a strong European alliance
But I'm having a harder time by now explaining to right wing idiots, why this alliance is good, despite all the problems, we should work on

At least this time, those right wing idiots are still desperately sucking up russian propaganda, so they probably see this as a good move

But everything really starts to suck...

This isn’t a pro Russia move, it’s the opposite. Ukraine wants to keep these people in the military, not run off to the EU and get protection from being sent back. Russia would love less Ukrainian soldiers on the front line

    I understand that

The right wing idiots will think though "haha, those idiots can't flee anymore and be on our pocket"

Edit: And I personally just don't feel well, with forcing people into the military, when they try to flee the war
    Doesn't matter who it benefits
