At this point it's on the Democratic Party for never calling them out on the obvious. The GOP is so openly corrupt, disgusting and straight up retarded but the Dems continue to normalize it by not saying jack shit about any of it. This is precisely how it will go and the right and corpo Dems will beat this drum hard if there are a significant amount of progressive leaning members in congress. The band-aid solution is war, but the US has never won one...ever. So unless other countries want to help out—obvioiusly not, as the world has disaccharided itself strongly—the only hope is exercising the constitution for long-term recovery.

Wars don't get rid of debt, they have a terrible return on investment, especially when you factor in opportunity cost. The guns vs butter model figures this out after WW1 and everyone still ignores it.
