With how messed up Boeing has been for years, it's wild that anyone is still buying their shit. Boeing used to be a driving force in innovation and safety and it all went to shit after merger with McDonnell Douglas when greedy corporate suits took over with profits being the only driving force.

Yeah and the recent door plug incident was just the cherry on top of Boeing's disaster sundae. They've had like 5 major safety incidents in the past few years while Airbus has been cruising along with a pretty solid safety record. No wonder more airlines are making the switch.

I've watched some documentaries about Boeing and some former workers who were interviewed said they basically didn't have any shortcuts or cost cutting involved and if something needed fixing, they made sure it was done. After McDonnell Douglas merger, it was the McDonnell suits that started fucking things up, they also moved headquarters out of the state where their main production line is (Washington) to Chicago.

It is wild how just a couple of dudes can fuck it up that bad and end up costing people their lives and these people got rich from it and will never face real consequences

If most of the airline's fleet is Boeing it's cheaper getting them and since many airlines operate with thin margins they don't have much of a choice. That's at least what I assume.

I found it hard to believe that LOT didn't have already some Airbus in it's fleet, but it seems true indeed: LOT.com | Fleet

The Poles are probably the most pro-American nation in Europe, largely due to history and geopolitics. Or at least were until Krasnov came to power.
