Nah, my best ever friend committed suicide in November last year, exactly a year after my dad died. And two weeks ago a friend, who I had a crush on for years and we had just grown closer as friends, died of an epileptic seizure.
It's been two real fucking long years.

Fuck that's rough man.. I can't comprehend what must be going through your soul after all that. I do hope you're able to share (good) memories about them with friends, family, loved ones. And that you're able to mourn potential lost moments or paths there, but never walked.

What? 2026 feels endless. 2026 going fast implies you've enjoyed it. We started out the year with the Minneapolis freebie murders by the fucking gestapo, then we had the bombing of the girls school in Iran, followed by this recession and the AI nonsense imploding the consumer electronics market. Combine that with a horrific wildfire season and both of my hobbies are essentially fucked.

And nothing but bad news and toxic media cycles to sprinkle in between all the shit that has effected me directly. What an awful, endless year.

For me it’s gone fast because I’ve been in a depressive fog and just haven’t done anything to distinguish one day from the next, so every day feels the same, and it flies by according to my memory.

Every day is the same bad news with different subjects and objects. Every day the same bad things happen, in different places to different people. None of it stands out anymore, it’s just a constant blur of negativity in a blender turning into a fine paste of shit to coat everything in awful sameness.

Yeah, the job market is so bad right now. I was unemployed from June 2025 to August 2026.

I only got the job I'm in now because it's a sister company to the place I used to work, and I knew people. 1,000+ applications and only 10 interviews, and none of them hired me in the end.

We had 2 months of no direct sunlight and even with frequent walks I was a complete zombie, felt like this year started at March because that's when I finally got enough vitamin D for my brain to become capable of forming longterm memories again.

Do something, go outside. This wasn't a quick year.

This is how I see 2026, an AI generated slop fest made by people who unironically drink piss, and not as a kink but because they managed to gaslight sycophantic AI into telling them it's healthy and chock full of vitamins and stem cells.
