Within the context of capitalism, I would be fine with it, iff they were talking about investing into relevant infrastructure, desalination plants, and so on. But, they're not.

    we need to stop the government subsidizing corperations, if the government wants the product to be cheaper for the average person they should compete with the incumbent companies and be allowed to spin up shell corperations to do so discreetly.

    We need Communism. My point was them talking about water as a commodity and investment opportunity, is about monopolizing it and putting it into plastic bottles; nothing that's remotely useful for society as a whole.

    This entire global economic system is built on unsustainability. Endless profits from a context of shrinking GDP growth, ballooning debt, and a billionaire class that knows it is unsustainable so they are using power to maximize what they can squeeze out of it while they can.
