These voters absolutely believed that they were included in Trump's version of America. They thought they could more easily obtain the American dream with Trump in the White House. It's also worth noting that some of this disconnect stems from different information eco-systems. These voters repeatedly heard about Trump's promises of a booming economy and a calm border, two things they wanted desperately. They heard far less -- or not at all -- about specific details about mass deportations and how those might be carried out.
There must be a Spanish right-wing propaganda ecosystem like Fox News, right-wing radio, and other media circulating down there.
