You should ask Reddit how you can legally keep it. But make sure they don't know it is you who found it. Use "hypothetically" in your question.
I got excited when I thought it was copper and neodymium. Just the stuff they make douche watches out of.
Wow, eight cases gold and an entire extra case of money, well do the responsible thing and hand these over to the police.
I loaded up the 6 boxes of gold into my car and the friendly police man helped me drag all 3 of them into the station. I sure hope there's a reward for the 1 box of gold I found, shame there was no money with it.
The responsible thing would be to launder it and then move it into an umbrella company which is based in an off shore account, hire yourself, and then use the earnings from the interest to pay school lunch debts and build shelter for the homeless.
Yellow metal and some paper? Weird...
If you instead drained diesel out of one of the F150 parked outside, you’d made double.
You should read/watch "No Country for Old Men" before deciding how to proceed, Friend-o.
Hey big man, lemme hold a dollar
Huh. Did you check to see if it had a name on it? Maybe someone left it for their friend. You could check inside the Wendy's and see if the person told any of the staff who they were leaving it for?
That's a partial payoff for the arcane secrets of the "Square" burger. As in a Freemason's Square. It's all connected. Illuminati confirmed. /s
The photo looks like it could be the opening shot of many movies. A shit ton of valuable items gets misplaced for a short time, humans get involved with said valuable items in various ways, murder, mayhem, and running for their lives quickly ensues.
Hypothetically, finding the gold bars is a massive pain in the ass.
Without identification, the value of the bars drops off a shitload.
You can't just shave off the serial numbers and then sell them.
You can't just resmelt them either, the bars are cast at over 1000°C, and even then, the bars have unique imperfections (deliberate) which make them easily identifiable.
Use the paper money to get some gems, cast jewelry with it. Or ask the people doing Trumps plumbing.
I tried to find how much of a premium traceable gold carries but wasn't able to. Got a good surface for how much?
Untraceable gold loses about 10% of its value. But that's assuming you're a reputable seller, trading with a reputable buyer.
If you're a nobody, selling to someone who knows what theyre doing, expect to lose 25% or more for the risk incurred. But honestly, you're not realistically finding anyone reputable, you're finding someone else who wants the burden of finding someone else to sell it to, so expect to lose more.
But then throw on top the cost of the crucible, moulds, furnace, and losses incurred from inexperience trying to remove the traceable imperfections... As I said, its a massive pain in the ass...
