If the police doesn't own them, and there's no permit for their use, shouldn't they be removed immediately?

County officials are allowing the individual(s) time to take the cameras down before moving forward with an investigation.
Hmm. So nice of the police to give a warning before opening a case after criminals dun fucked up. What a lovely place to do some crime.
Flock is putting them up everywhere without permission
Cool, cool. Literally anyone can put these things up. 🥴
I wonder if this also means literally anyone can take them down and salvage the hardware?
Legally? No. Morally? You know people are planning this for Halloween right?
I’m wondering about the legally bit though. If the things are there illegally, removing them without damaging anything they’re connected to… someone’s going to have to say “Hey, that’s mine! I’m the one who illegally installed that thing! It belongs to me!”
Since they still have them there and haven’t claimed them, couldn’t they be claimed by anyone as abandoned salvage?
ICE maybe? They've been using lots of shady methods to find anyone they can to meet their impossible quota of deportations. But could just be cops refusing to admit it or data broker corporations since they don't care about laws since they can just pay a small fine, bankrupt the shell company and change to another shell company and continue as usual.
