What about the news that US was about to seize 1billion in btc from Iran?

I feel like it would be a lot easier to just exchange crypto with other states that are friendly with Iran, rather than mining fresh coin? Iran is a nation state, it's not like they can't hide crypto transactions from the US regime by exchanging them into fiat and back again. The notion that the US has the ability to shut down everyone who transacts with them is kind of absurd. Not that the US isn't gonna try it's damnedest to do so.
