Not to be confused with a Cuddlefish:

Cuttlefish aren't venomous. The flamboyant cuttlefish is poisonous, but it's the only species out of 6 that is.

So cuttlefish can bite me but I shouldn't bite a cuttlefish?

    Nice.

That being said, cuttlefish do get eaten in Japan, since they're cephalopods like octupi and squid.

They just don't eat flamboyant cuttlefish because

1: their muscle tissue is extremely poisonous

2: an adult is the size of your thumbnail

3: they're adorable. They have fins/tentacles adapted to work as little legs to walk on the bottom of the ocean

I'm not religious (srsly, fuck God), but God didn't name shit. "And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof."

Thank you! I'm not religious either.

But I'm sure many cough evangelicals would dispute us. What there's 200+ languages in the world? Well this was before the tower of Babel. Cherry-picking the bibble.

One should feel sorry for them if they weren't actively dangerous and harmful.
